There are 2 main components :<\/p><ul><li><b>MM Stocks : <\/b>Stock management<\/li><li><strong>MM Purchasing :<\/strong> Purchasing and supply management<\/li><\/ul><p>The rest of this article presents these <b>different SAP MM modules in detail.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-154aabe7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"154aabe7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-large\">MM Stocks<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-76e395cd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"76e395cd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The <strong>MM &#8220;Stocks&#8221;<\/strong> section allows you to :<\/p><ul><li><b>Manage material stocks in quantity and value : <\/b>each entry, exit or transfer increments or decrements the stock.<\/li><li><b>Recording stock movements<\/b> (entries, exits, transfers) and integration with other areas (purchasing, accounting). The MM module has total traceability: any movement is recorded, it can be cancelled by a counter entry but never deleted.<\/li><li><b>Reserve stock quantities<\/b> for materialized requirements in the ERP such as component requirements for production orders or finished goods reservations for customer orders.<\/li><li><b>Manage stocks by material &#8220;batch&#8221;<\/b> (option to be activated in the MM module and which allows a notion of &#8220;Use By&#8221; date). It meets a need for fine traceability and allows upward or downward traceability of material supplies up to delivery of the finished product to the customer.<\/li><li><b>Carry out the physical
